Drift Rivals is a sandbox multiplayer racing project centered on customization, progression, and long-term player engagement.

Overview

This project focuses on a player-driven racing experience supported by amazing amaount of customization and upgrades. Our goal was to create a game that player could play for a long time and feel a sense of progresseion and reward. you could customize your car with different parts and compete with other players in a dynamic racing environment.

My Role

I contributed as a game designer, focusing on upgrades, achievements, flash events, and economy/lootbox structure.

Design Focus

My main design interests in this project were progression flow, reward pacing, customization value, and systems that support long-term motivation.

What I Learned

Drift Rivals helped me deepen my understanding of economy design, progression systems, and how structured rewards can shape player behavior.
